Moss was born on the 13th of February, 1977. He is an American footballer. He
was an American footballer who played 14 seasons within the National Football
League (NFL) and was a part of the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders and
the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. He is widely regarded as Jerry
Rice's best wide receiver. He holds the NFL single-season touchdown reception
record of 23 in 2007 the NFL rookie single-season touchdown reception records (17
in 1998) and is second on NFL's all-time regular-season touchdown receptions
with 156. Moss was well-known for his skill in securing contested catch and
"mossed" is nowadays a football term. Following his professional
football career Moss began his career as a studio analyst at ESPN for their
Sunday NFL Countdown program and Monday Night Countdown. Moss was born in Rand,
West Virginia. He was a student at DuPont High School. It was one of two
schools that later merged into Riverside High School. There the student
excelled at football, basketball, baseball, track, and other sports. Randy was
also a member of the school's debate team. On the field of football, Moss led
the DuPont Panthers to state championships in back-to-back years in 1993 and
1992. Moss was a renowned wide receiver. He also was a free safety, and
returned punts. He was awarded the Kennedy Award for West Virginia Football
Player of the Year in 1994. Parade magazine named him to their All-American
high school football team in 1995, and in 2009 He was named as one of the top
50 football players in high school.
