Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on November 8, 1967) is an American actor from America. Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim, and Lyndsey McElroy's character on Two and a Half Men. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was an expert in market research using computers and her mother, Lora Thorne, was a Therapist. They separated when Courtney was just seven, and she lived with both parents during various times. Jennifer her older sister is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended Menlo Atherton High School located in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in 1985. She also performed with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley during her time in high school. Thorne Smith's first appearance in a movie was in the feature film drama Lucas. She was accompanied by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim), and Charlie Sheen. In the mid-80s, she was also seen in a range of films that included Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). She was a part of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, and was Chairman of the Board. In 2009 she appeared in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith had a relationship with Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen mate from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad; the couple divorced in January 2001. On January 1st 2007 she got married to Roger Fishman, president of the marketing company the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. On the 11th of January 2008, at age 40 she gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman, her son. Jacob Emerson Fishman.
